Guys! We’re almost done! Next week at this time, all we have to worry about is putting our hard work on the web!

From CNN today.

Hey guys, I called up Amy Tyra, who is a landlord in Dorchester who was foreclosed on. She is very nice, and agreed to an interview at her house on Sunday at 1 PM.

Just keeping you guys in the know.

I went down to City Life. Unfortunately Steve was not there and I had to leave to go to work, but a nice guy gave me a press release indicating that the organization was holding a press conference about a proposed tenant eviction law tomorrow at 9 am at the Edward Brooke Courthouse on New Chardon St.

In addition to reps from City Life, a lawyer for a family being evicted will be there. At 10 a.m. there will be another press conference at City Hall where City Councilor Mike Ross will introduce a home rule petition.

It would be great if we could get cameras at one or both of these pressers. Attached is a PDF of the first press release.

I just got out of an interview with ISD about an hour ago. There wasn’t anything earth shattering going on, but they did indicate that there has been a rise of foreclosures in what were previously triple deckers turned co-op. They indicated that many of these investments were made without the income to back it up, and all it takes is one unit out of the 6 to enter foreclosure before the whole building becomes foreclosed.  -David.
